Where is my data stored?

All data is stored locally on your Mac using Apple's UserDefaults system. Nothing is sent to any server — your data stays on your device and is completely removed when you uninstall the app.

Does Day by Day require an internet connection?

No. Day by Day works entirely offline. There is no network communication at all — the app never connects to the internet.

How do I reset my daily health tracking?

Health tracking data (water, coffee, protein) resets automatically at midnight each day. You don't need to do anything manually.

Are the tax calculations accurate?

Day by Day provides tax estimates for informational purposes only. Tax laws are complex and vary by jurisdiction. Always consult a qualified tax professional or CPA for official tax guidance before making any financial decisions.

How do I delete all my data?

Uninstalling Day by Day removes all stored data from your Mac. Since everything is stored locally, no additional steps are needed and nothing remains on any server.

The menu bar icon isn't showing up

Try the following steps: (1) Confirm Day by Day is running — check Activity Monitor. (2) If your menu bar is crowded, some icons may be hidden — try expanding the menu bar area. (3) Restart the app. (4) If the issue persists, restart your Mac.

Can I sync data between multiple Macs?

Not yet. iCloud sync is planned for a future version. Currently, data is stored locally on each individual device.
