Day by Day ("the App") is built with privacy as a first principle. This policy explains our data practices in plain language — no legalese, no fine print.

We collect nothing. Day by Day does not:
- Collect any personal information
- Transmit data to external servers
- Track user behavior or usage patterns
- Use analytics, advertising, or telemetry
- Require user accounts or registration
- Access your contacts, location, photos, or other device data
Local Data Storage
All data you enter is stored locally on your Mac using Apple's UserDefaults system. This includes:
- Remains exclusively on your device
- Is never transmitted to any server or third party
- Can be completely removed by uninstalling the app
- Is not accessible to us or anyone else
Notifications
Day by Day requests permission to send local notifications for Pomodoro completions, water intake reminders, medication reminders, and goal celebrations. These notifications are generated entirely on your device with no external services involved.
Network Access
Day by Day does not require or use internet connectivity. The app works completely offline with no network communication of any kind.
Third-Party Services
Day by Day does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external APIs.
Children's Privacy
Day by Day does not collect any information from users of any age. The app is safe for all users, including children.
Data Security
Since all data remains on your device and is never transmitted, your information is protected by your Mac's built-in security — including FileVault disk encryption, macOS sandboxing, and your device's login security.
Your Rights
- Access: All your data is visible within the app at all times
- Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all stored data
- Portability: Future versions may include data export features

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will appear on this page with an updated date. Significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.

Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App, regardless of the legal theory under which such liability is claimed.
